So, I have recently returned from Malia the sea side town of Crete, Greece. I was out there for 7 days for a 18 to 30s girls holiday. As expected, it was a alcohol filled week, as Malia is famously synomonous with Ayia napa, Kavos, Ibiza and Magaluf. I had an awesome time, we laughed together, some even cried, friendships were tested, the food was great, the weather was awesome. Even if sometimes it got stupidly hot and I got heat rash in places I didn't know you could get heat rash. We did quite a lot of activities, including pool parties, partying on the strip most nights and many more.
Also, we rented out some quad bikes, even though our Thomson reps warned us not to rent any. With the quads, we were able to visit so many towns and mostly beaches, which was a great experience. Though I would not recommend renting quads, as the owners aren't very forthcoming with information and basically they leave out very important information. when we rented our quads we were told that they were for 2 days, and that they came with 100% full compensation insurance. However they didn't mention that 2 days didn't mean 2 sets of 24hrs and full compensation may require a €1000 excess fee. Luckily we didn't crash, lose or damage our quads.

As I have mentioned Thomason reps, we did book and fly with Thomson we weren't very pleased with our accommodation, and quite frankly the reps weren't very helpful at all. Nevertheless, that didn't stop us from making the most of what we had, and having a memorably great time. Even though, the majority of the locals were very rude, luckily there weren't too many of them around, otherwise I think things would have really kicked off and no one wants to get arrested abroad
Overall, I had a great time, I miss it already and I am dreading to see my phone bill, as I was roaming and texting quite a lot. Would I go back? No. Though, that may be more to do with the people I went with, rather than the location.
just posting a few of the web safe photos below
