I have finished revenge by Martina cole and I have to say it's so sad that I finished this book. I love this book, it's officially one of my favourite books. The book itself consists of 4 books, and the story of Michael Flynn over 35yrs. At first I was a little confused, as the prologue was set in 2012 and then book 1 was set all the way in 1979. Anyways! Once I got past that, I had to get used to the written style, which is very different from what I am used to. The book is written well, however, when I was reading it I couldn't help but think I was in the movie Rock n' Rolla or 44inch chest. The story is very gripping and once I picked it up to read it, I couldn't put it down, for days I fashioned my time around it. The story it self, does contain a lot of violence, which I quite happen to like, though, I realise it might not be for the faint hearted.
My favourite character in the book was of course the protagonist himself Michael Flynn, who starts out as a apprentice for a criminal enterprise and that's the basis of the book. He gradually progresses to greatness through the book and later on, his only daughter does get kidnapped. The characters felt so real, though there was a running theme with all the teens in this book which I didn't like, as it felt really repetitive. Though, the book did keep me guessing, as there was quite a lot of twists.
I'd have to stop here as I can't really say much more about it without giving away huge spoilers.

The book I am about to start reading is The Three by Sarah lotz, and from my understanding it is about survivors of plane crashes. On a random Thursday which has been dubbed black Thursday, four passenger planes crash simultaneously, at four different locations around the world. There four survivors, three of them being three children who seemed unhurt. The fourth who is an adult who only lives long enough to leave a warning voice message on her phone.
